How a file gets in front of an underwriter
We place payment processing, business banking and crypto rails for high-growth, complex businesses with institutions that take the industry. We read the file the way an underwriter would, then watch the chargeback ratios, reserves and reviews that get accounts closed. More than one rail, so one bank's no doesn't stop the business. The bank decides.
01 Review
We read processing statements, the site, and the model: MCC, descriptor, refund policy, ownership, volume, and why the last account closed. That includes US companies and foreign fintechs that need US accounts.
02 Package and place
We build the underwriting file: owners, documents, processing history, chargeback and return rates, licenses, and a site that matches the application. Then we submit it to acquiring banks and banks that already take that MCC and risk profile.
03 Watched after day one
After a MID or account is open, the work is the monitoring program. Chargeback and fraud ratios against Visa VAMP and Mastercard ECM. Rolling and up-front reserves, and when they release. Periodic reviews and annual re-underwriting. Descriptor and MCC accuracy. The bank's KYB and EDD refresh. For ACH, return history against the bank's Nacha limits, which we do not restate here. A backup MID at a second acquiring bank, so one bank's no doesn't stop the business. A termination can still be reported to MATCH. Watching is not a promise the account stays open. Approval is never guaranteed.
